Global Device Options

Global device options affect all devices of a given type unless overridden by model and instance parameters. The order of precedence is: instance parameter > model parameter > global option.

In a netlist, all the options in Table 3 can be set on a .OPTIONS card. The syntax is:

.OPTIONS option[=val] ...

Some options are flags that do not have a value. They are enabled when they are present in the .OPTIONS card and disabled otherwise. An example is WL, which reverses the order of the width and length model parameters in a MOSFET instance or element statement.

In a schematic design, the DEVICE_CLEANUP option can be set by selecting Add Solution Options from the Circuit pulldown, then clicking on the General tab.

The global device options are summarized in Table 3:
