Nexxim Simulator > Creating a New C Code ModuleFollow this procedure to create a new C code module to become a component model that can be instantiated in a Circuit schematic. 1. Using a text editor, create a C code modules to be added. See C Model API Functions for information on the code file format. 2. Open a new Circuit Design. Expand the Definitions folder, right-click on the Models folder, and select Edit Library. 3. The Edit Libraries dialog opens. Click Add Model. 4. The Add Model dialog opens. Enter a name for your model, and select C Model as the Model type. Click OK. 5. The C Model dialog opens. The Model Name appears as you entered in the previous dialog. Use the Pins and Parameters fields to enter the names of the pins and parameters as they appear in the C model code. Click Create Model Project File. On the Select or Create Model Project File dialog, enter the name of the new file to be created. Click OK to close the Select or Create Model Project File dialog. On the C Model dialog, make sure the Add New Code Template box is checked. Click Save and Edit Code. 6. The Add Template dialog opens: Select the Model Type (S-parameter, Y-parameter, or Analog VI, and indicate whether the template is to include code for noise analysis. Click OK. 7. The new model list file and the C Code Template appear in the design area:
8. Complete the C code, and select Build in the C Model Editor menu. If you have Visual C installed, the DLL will be built. 9. The new model is listed in the Models folder 10. Right-click on the new model icon, and select Place New Component from the menu. 11. The Create New Component dialog opens: Click Create New to create another new model, or click Edit to edit this model before creating any components. Click OK to add the new component and close the Create Model Component dialog. The new component is added to the Components list in the project tree: Select and place this component as you would any Nexxim component. Enter values for the parameters. User Browse Netlist to verify that the component is generating a correct netlist for Nexxim.
